Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España (IPCE)
The Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain (IPCE) is a General Branch of the Directorate General of Fine Arts and Cultural Assets and Archives and Libraries of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. Its mission is the research, conservation and restoration of the assets that make up the Cultural Heritage.
This is a complex task that IPCE approached from a multidisciplinary perspective, through its staff of specialists in various disciplines: architects, archaeologists, ethnographers, restorers, physicists, geologists, chemists, biologists, archivists, computer scientists, librarians, archivists and conservatives, among others.
A task emanating from social commitment, constitutional nature of the Central Government, along with the rest of the public bodies, thus fulfilling the preservation and enrichment of the Spanish Cultural Heritage.
