Deep Ultraviolet MicroPhotoluminescence (DUPV PL)

DUV (240 to 350 nm excitation) excited micro photoluminescence (300 to 1000 nm emission) in full field or raster scanning mode.

Fields of application

  • Cultural heritage

archaeological object and site, architecture, art, decorative arts, film, manuscript, mosaics, musical instrument, painting, papyrus, photo, sculpture, textile

  • Natural heritage

animal product, botanic collection, fossil, mineral, shell, skeleton, taxidermy collection

Materials

  • organic

animal parts, binding media, glues, wood, paper, textiles, varnishes

TOOLS

DISCO beamline

DISCO is a VUV to visible beamline dedicated to biochemistry, chemistry and cell biology. The spectral region is optimised between 60 and 700 nm with conservation of the natural polarization of the light.
