A hybrid event arranged by the Swedish National Heritage Board
Dyes in History and Archaeology (DHA) is an annual conference with participants from all over the world that focuses on the discussion of historical colourants. This will be DHA’s 41st conference and is now being arranged for the first time in Scandinavia. The topics include the history, production and application of dyes and organic pigments, as well as their analytical characterization and identification.
Professionals and not professionals, interested artists, curators, students, historians or scientists interested in historical colours in textiles, and other substrates are invited to participate.
The conference will be a hybrid event arranged by the Swedish National Heritage Board on-site in Visby from 11 to 13 October 2022, with physical workshops and guided tours for the participants as well as lectures both on-site and digitally.
