Develop innovative imaging and remote sensing instruments and applications
Nottingham Trent University opens a fixed-term research fellow position to further develop innovative imaging and remote sensing instruments and applications in the ISAAC Lab within the Imaging, Materials and Engineering Centre (IMEC).
This is a funded 12-month contract working in the labs on Clifton Campus, Nottingham. The role may be extended subject to further funding.
The Research Fellow will join a vibrant team of researchers working on a range of interdisciplinary projects. Projects include the development of advanced optical imaging systems for heritage materials analysis using various non-invasive imaging and spectroscopy modalities, machine learning and data visualisation methods. The Research Fellow will participate in mobile lab field trips to museums and historic sites around the world and contribute to instrument development, including software and electronics or data analysis.
Interest in heritage science is essential, and experience in the non-invasive analysis of historical material is desirable.
The deadline for application is on August 13, 2022.
