Technique: Acoustic tomography

Acoustic tomography module

Acoustic tomography module includes the pulser/receiver system (400 MHz frequency) that stimulates the piezoelectric transducer element (frequencies from 15 to 250 MHz) to excite the high frequency ultrasounds. Then, the echoes from the item that is under investigation are drived again to the pulser/receiver system to convert them into a digital signal through the Analog-to-Digital (2 GSamples/sec) component.

Potential Results

3D Reconstruction of the inner structure of the object that is under investigation in order to evaluate stratigraphic information of the materials that is composed as long as their thicknesses and to reveal possible hidden sub-surface details and pathologies.
