Are you interested in ARCHLAB?
This is what ARCHLAB means: have a project in mind, search for data in archive, compare results with other researchers, make new discoveries. Here is the user Christian Degrigny, while discussing with OPD restorers and students about conservation protocols used at OPD for the cleaning of tarnished silver based artefacts.
Degrigny presented to the ARCHLAB platform a proposal entitled “Conservation protocols used at OPD for the cleaning of tarnished silver based artefacts”. He is a conservation scientist, specialised in electrochemistry applied to metal conservation. His request for access to the OPD archives started from the idea of reviewing the existing techniques to remove silver tarnish.
